Our second annual “Earn the Radio Merit Badge” on Radio Field Day

June 27, 2026 – Saturday Noon to 5 PM
First Presbyterian Church 10400 Zelzah Ave, Granada Hills.

The Radio Merit Badge will be offered during Field Day, which is an annual amateur radio event to make nationwide contacts, demonstrate the capability of ham radio, public outreach, and emergency preparedness. Scouts will fulfill the Activity Requirement by using one of the radios.

Classes taught by Bernard Falkin, KG6FBM, and Michael Hart, KC6МЕН. Radios provided by the San Fernando Valley Amateur Radio Club, W6SD.com. Go to scouting.org to download the Pamphlet and Workbook. Read the entire Pamphlet and bring your Workbook and Unit Leader signed Blue card.
