Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation – APRIL 18-19 🗓 🗺

For all you new outdoor Cub Leaders and Assistant Scoutmasters, Bill Hart District is offering both the Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO) and Introduction to Outdoor Leadership Skills (IOLS) on the weekend of April 18-19.

Leaders who complete BALOO training are better prepared to plan pack den or lead pack overnight events. You’ll learn how to make camping activities and outings fun. You’ll discover how to keep your Cub Scouts safe and entertained. And you’ll learn how to plan an event that’s rooted firmly in Cub Scouting’s principles. Successful experiences in the outdoors make Cub Scouts – and their parents – more likely to keep coming back.

IOLS is a hands-on skills training in the outdoors, designed to help you master the basic camp skills required from Tenderfoot through First Class. It is required for all Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters.
